LECTURES

• Week 4 - Lecture 4 (20.09.2023)

In this week, Mr.Vinods let us doing the Task 2 sketch and compelte the Task 1 , he gave us enough time to do prepare it and he also introduce how to do Task 2 and showing some examples for us.😇

• Week 5 - Lecture 5 (27.09.2023)

In this week, Mr.Vinods gave us feedback from task 2 Key Artwork and let us redoing it, and choose color on class. Also let us doing the poster with our picture.

Form is  the overall look and feel of the elements that make up the typographic composition. To represent a concept by doing so in a visual form. The interplay of meaning and form brings a balanced harmony both in terms of function and expression. When a typeface is perceived as a form, it no longer reads as a letter because it has been manipulated by distortion, texture, enlargement, and has been extruded into a space.

• Week 6 - Lecture 6 (04.10.2023)

In this class, Mr.vinods gave the feedback for key Artwork ,he let us doing the Black T-shirt on Class to get feedback. And after that let us doing the new task 2.

• Week 7 - Lecture 7 (11.10.2023)

In this class, Mr.vinods introduce the final task and gave us feedback for task 2.

• Week 8 - Lecture 8 (18.10.2023)

Independing learning week, no class, we should complete the Task 2 during this week and start to thinking the final Task idea.

In this week 4 we needs to doing the sketch for Task 2 so i create some sketch for my wordmark about my name "YAN XI" or "LI YANXI". And after feedback, Mr. vinods also let us to redoing the work at class so that will not be too difficult.

So that's my workmark after sketch and class from week 4.👇

Then, after done this, we need to choose color for our work.

So then i create lots of choice for my work with logo and background.

Then Mr.vinods let us to put the logo on some stuff like what we doing on Black T-shirts.

FEEDBACK

Week 4 General feedback: Just the surface design. Specific feedback: Needs to explain something and the thinking on the design.What you needs.

Week 5 General feedback: It's not looks like spider web. Needs to changed. Specific feedback: Redoing and put web elements on it and combine it.

Week 6 General feedback: Don't copy logo for different things. Specific Feedback: You can use the elements what you create from the logo and use it on different stuff. expansion!

Week 7 General Feedback: Better than before. Specific feedack: The bottom background maybe can be all grey, needs to more imaging. And the top left and left maybe should be more imaging.

Week 8 General Feedback: Independing learning week, no feedback.

                                                                                                                                                                      

REFELCTION

Experience

In this project, I reviewed the content of last semester, did font animation again, and made use of the experience of designing fonts in the last semester to further design fonts exclusive to my own name.

Observation

I observed more visual art effects, and also found that both font design and logo design have certain regularity, and can not be randomly designed, and rules and regulations are better to look at.

Findings

I find typographic design interesting but also time and energy consuming.
