So at week 1 Lecture, sir introduce the class and what should we do in this sem. And we need to make a group for flip class and also another group for final project. For this exercise 1, we will doing on tutorial class (08.02.2024). And i will bring the button and a papper for the class.
Exercise 1: Quantify & visualize data - week 1
Quantify Objects :
Quantify (count) your chosen items and arrange the objects into a presentable layout or chart. Take a picture and submit.
Requirements :
Information must be presented as is. You are required to arrange the objects with relevant indicators written out with pens to help you visualize the quantity and data. Take a picture of the final assembly and upload into yourE-portfolio and Google Classroom.
Progress :
08.02.2024 Tutorial
At tutorial class, sir let us using us tools : ( A3 paper, pen, and buttons) to doing the exercise 1. So i started to do.
First, i bring lots of different buttons. They looks colorful and have different size. So i need to start to think about how to do the arrangement and the data sorting.
That's what i do , size and different holes.I plan to classify them into colors, different number of holes, sizes, materials. I think it is more beautiful and clear to expand the meetings in a circular manner, and mark my data table on the left side of them to express my data graph more directly.
I marked the total in the lower right corner, and the title of the data graph is: Button, so that everything is simple, clear and beautiful.
Then this is the final outcome. Well, sir said it looks clearly, yeah and i'm hope to hear that, i'm happy.

Exercise 2: L.A.T.C.H - week 2
Location / Alphabet / Time / Category / Hierarchy Organize a group of information into a visual poster that combines and utilizes the LATCH principles (Minimum 4) These are a few of the suggested compiled data you can use or, you can pick any topic you want: - Pokedex
- FFXIV Bestiary
- Dinosaur
Requirements: Size resolution: 1240 × 1750 pixels or 2048 × 2048 pixels. Use the digital photo editing/illustration software available to assemble the Pokemon into a LATCH infographic poster. You can re-use back the images of the monsters but do create the rest of your visuals to complete the poster.
Progress :
First , for the LATCH, i chose 4 of them which is : - Category
- Alphabet
- Location
- Hierarchy
So i chose Pokemon to do my exercise first.
For each of them : - Category: Water、Fire、Grass、Fairy
- Alphabet: Name & Number
- Location: River、Lava、Land、Mountain
- Hierarchy: Evolution
My chosen with Pokemon
Then i started to do visual reference. 15.02.2024
This inspried me how to do a complete infographic
I started to search more visual reference. And this is the different type of Pokemon. I decide to chose 4 of them to do my exercise.
Then I search other visual ref. which inspried me a lot .
map ref. map ref.2
lava ref.
This one inspried me and i want to design a little bit like this , not just a map. So i designed a sketch .
I think this is the good one i can follow, so i started to do it on Illustrator. I created the mountaion and other first.
I design the different types on different environment, and i added 1,2,3 to distinguish between levels of evolution. Water - River Fairy - Mountain Fire - Lava Grass - Ground
Then i started put pokemon on it.
So this is the final

FLIP TOPICS
FLIP 1: Types of Infographic
Types of infographics by group 2-slides -week 1
RE-DESIGNING AN INFOGRAPHICS
Each of us need to pick one free online infographic tool and re-design one poorly constructed infographic poster through our own experimentation with the selected tool.
 |
Chosen poorly designed infographic - List infographic |
Issues:
- Too simple
- All is in one color
- Very boring and not clear
- No number
Progress: I changed some color , put number on it and put them clear, it looks better.

Present an explanation on the topic and provide examples or scenarios of what information best utilized with each principle.
You can use the given Exercise 2 as your examples as well.
So in our group , we do explain each of the letter means.
